Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha: Bulgaria needs a stable centrist subject

The NMSS affiliated 500 new members within three weeks.
Today in the tripartite coalition the NMSS is the guarantor for the balanced liberal policy of the government, underlined the NMSS Leader Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha in his statement during the third meeting of the NMSS and the “Friedrich Naumann” foundation with NMSS municipal councilors, this time from Southern Bulgaria.
Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha added that society today needs more than ever a stable centrist subject and the NMSS is exactly that formation. We have the will to continue endorsing the liberal values as we declared back on 6 April 2001, because the confirmation of centrism is of a crucial importance for the development of Bulgaria, underlined further the NMSS Leader Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha.
The meeting was on “European Dimensions of Local Self-Governance” and was taking place in the “Radisson” hotel in Sofia. Asparuh Panov, Coordinator of the “Friedrich Naumann” foundation, Ginyo Ganev, national ombudsman, Marina Dikova, deputy chairperson of the NMSS were among the lecturers.
At the beginning of the discussion, Stanimir Ilchev underlined that the interest in the NMSS is high. With some 20% of general assemblies of NMSS structures held in the country, 500 new members have been affiliated to the NMSS according to data of the National Coordination Department, the greatest number being in the municipal structure of the party in Kazanlak – 73.
